The Brazilian White Center – UNASP is a team of teachers and students at the Brazilian Ellen G. White Research Center – UNASP at the Brazilian Adventist University, Campus Engenheiro, Coelho, SP. Arthur Guilherme Zehetmeyr, canvasser and publishing leader, was born in 1918. He married Ophélia Zehetmeyr, and from this union Edemar and Eclair were born. He became a canvasser for the Adventist Church in 1955.1 In 1958 he accepted a call to be a full-time canvasser in Rio Grande do Sul Conference where he worked until 1963.2 In subsequent years he served as director of the Publishing Department (1964-1967),3 of Radio-TV Ministries (1966-1967), and of the Mato Grosso Mission.4 After that he served as director of the departments of Publishing (1968-1971)5 and Temperance (1968-1971) of the Santa Catarina Mission.6

In 1972 he returned to serving the Rio Grande do Sul Conference as director of the Publishing Department.7 While working in that position he was ordained to the ministry on January 27, 1973.8 He remained a publishing leader until his retirement in 1976, after nearly 21 years of service to the Adventist Church.9

Arthur Zehetmeyr died on September 22, 1981, in the city of Porto Alegre, state of Rio Grande do Sul, at the age of 63.10 His dedication to the publishing work made him a leader to be remembered for his important contribution to Church growth in southern Brazil.
