East Cameroon Conference is a part of Cameroon Union Mission in the West-Central Africa Division of Seventh-day Adventists. Its headquarters is in Bertoua, Cameroon.

Salmon Olinga Essindi was an Adventist educator and minister in Cameroon. Rising from an environment with no formal education, along with Jean Meting Nguele, he became one of the first two intellectual elites of Akonolinga administrative subdivision (now called Nyong and Mfoumou subdivision) in 1930.
