​Christian Abraham Ackah was a founding member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ghana. In addition to his work in literature evangelism, he founded two churches and two schools, and was the first Ghanaian to be ordained a church elder and to serve on a union mission executive committee.

Paul Kwame Owusu Ansah was an Adventist evangelist from Ghana.

​James Awurade Miezah Arloo was one of the first seven ministers ordained in the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ghana, and one of the pioneering Adventist workers in the country.

John Kwabena Kaipro Garbrah, the first ordained Ghanaian Seventh-day Adventist minister, was born in Shama in 1882.
