Dennis K. Bazarra, Adventist evangelist and administrator, was the first Ugandan to take the mantle of leadership as president of the Uganda Mission Field of Seventh-day Adventists in Uganda (1963) and was later to become the first African to be president of the East African Union, based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Difasi Idude Isabirye was a pastor and administrator in Uganda and Kenya. Isabirye’s commitment to church leadership was displayed during the difficult days of the oppressive regime in Uganda in the 1970s.
Stanley B. Kyambadde was a frontline pastor, church administrator, and exemplary Christian leader, as well as the first Ugandan to be president of Uganda Union.
