Dennis K. Bazarra, Adventist evangelist and administrator, was the first Ugandan to take the mantle of leadership as president of the Uganda Mission Field of Seventh-day Adventists in Uganda (1963) and was later to become the first African to be president of the East African Union, based in Nairobi, Kenya.

​Difasi Idude Isabirye was a pastor and administrator in Uganda and Kenya. Isabirye’s commitment to church leadership was displayed during the difficult days of the oppressive regime in Uganda in the 1970s.

​Stanley B. Kyambadde was a frontline pastor, church administrator, and exemplary Christian leader, as well as the first Ugandan to be president of Uganda Union.
