Heinrich Johann Lӧbsack was Russia’s first ordained Adventist pastor and church leader in Tsarist Russia and the USSR.

Moscow Conference is a part of the West Russian Union Conference in the Euro-Asia Division of Seventh-day Adventists. It was organized in 2003 and reorganized in 2007. Its headquarters is in Moscow, Russian Federation.

​Vilis Stanislavovich Neikurs served as a pastor and church administrator in the former Soviet Union, Ukraine, and Russia for over 45 years.

​In 1913 the Russian Union Conference was divided into the East Russian Union Conference, which included regions of central Russia; and the West Russian Union Conference (Западно-Российская унионная конференция), which included the western regions of the Russian Empire, with the exception of Finland.
