Uganda Union Mission is a church administrative unit of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Uganda and is part of East-Central Africa Division.

​The University of Arusha, originally known as Arusha Adventist Seminary, is an institution of higher learning operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Tanzania, under the Adventist philosophy of education (holistic education) and policy to meet its mission locally and internationally.

The University of Eastern Africa, Baraton (UEAB), situated in Nandi County in the Rift Valley of Western Kenya, is the oldest Adventist university on the continent of Africa to offer a variety of degree courses in arts, applied sciences, and natural sciences. It first opened its doors in September 1979 to a very small number of students. Another twenty students were enrolled on January 28, 1980. On March 28, 1991, UEAB became the first private university to be chartered in the Republic of Kenya.

Upper Nile Press is an Adventist publishing house in Uganda. It was established in 1987.

The Voice of Prophecy (VOP) correspondence lessons reached Tanzania as early as 1950, when those who were able to read English received the lessons brought from Cape Town, South Africa, by Adventist missionaries. Later, a branch of VOP Bible Correspondence School was opened in Nairobi, Kenya, by Robert J. Wieland.

Reuben L. Wangerin was an American-born missionary and publisher in Kenya who served as the press manager at the Africa Herald Publishing House, Kendu Bay, from 1947 to 1949.

​Western Tanzania Conference (WTC) is comprised of three complete governmental regions (Kagera, Kigoma, and Tabora) and the Chato district. Its headquarters is at Kilimahewa in Kigoma town, and its postal address is 519, Kigoma, Tanzania. The conference operates under the Northern Tanzania Union Conference in the East-Central Africa Division of Seventh-day Adventists.

Aleka Mitiku Woldegiorgise was a pioneer teacher and evangelist in Ethiopia.

Reuben Kombe Yeri was a prolific preacher and church planter who also served as the president of the Central Kenya Conference.
