The Seventh-day Adventist work in Myanmar began in 1902, when Herbert B. Meyers, who had become an Adventist in Kolkata, India, entered the country along with A. G. Watson to sell Adventist books and take subscriptions for the Oriental Watchman Publishing house from Europeans and English-speaking Burmese people.
