On Sabbath, December 13, 2025, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Burundi commemorated the centennial of Adventist beginnings in the country (1925–2025) with a major celebration at the Adventist church and historic mission site of Buganda, Commune Bukinanyana, in Bujumbura Province.
Mabayi Field serves as an administrative unit of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in northwestern Burundi. It functions under the Burundi Union Mission, which is part of the East-Central Africa Division of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
